Food took around 50 minutes to come out yet it arrived barely warm and quickly got cold. It also came out after another table that arrived after our party had placed orders. Cold food was not great but seasoned well at the very least. Staff was not very attentive, rarely checking in on our party which came off as homophobic due to other parties around us being checked on more frequently and getting their orders first despite ours being placed earlier. Would not recommend or return ever again.
Sabor De Acayucan is a hidden gem in San Juan. The setup is really unique—a quaint collection of food trucks sharing a garage space, which gives it a fun and laid-back vibe. The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Mexican flavor. We tried a little bit of everything, including the huarache de cecina and sopes, and every bite was amazing. You can really taste the freshness and tradition in each dish. The aguas frescas were refreshing and flavorful, the perfect complement to the meal. If you’re looking for authentic Veracruz cuisine in a casual and welcoming setting, this spot is a must-try. Definitely a five-star experience!
First time going to eat there. I eat everywhere and this place has different flavor. Hand made tortillas salsas are good. The shrimp empanada is delicious.
Food was amazing! 🩷 , we went on v-day! The wait was pretty LONG! Customer service was 5/10 , waiter looked like he didn’t wanna be there. 🙃 Other than that, I loved the place! 🩷 We traveled from Harlingen. 🏡
Authentic south Mexico taste. Café de olla was great! Our meals were large and delicious. Didn't feel overfilled after finishing meal.
I've seen this restaurant/food truck all over social media and finally decided to give it a try. Boy was it a pleasant surprise! The food was amazing! I had the Fiesta plate and it is A LOT of food. Super tasty and delicious. The cafe de olla was amazing! It gives a run for its money to La Concheria's cafe de olla! The only thing I would say is go eat there with time, i arrived there around 1:30 and was served my food around 2:10, but they did have a lot of people and everything was being made fresh. There is a Lot of bees so they will get in your coffee and won't stop bugging so just keep that in mind. Also the service could be a little better, i sat by myself drinking my coffee and waiting for my food and my server never came back to refill my coffee or check if I need it anything. She only bought my plate and saw my empty coffee mug(really cute mugs/cups) and didnt offer to refill it. Had to ask a gentleman to refill it and after all when I was done then she comes and hands me the check and offers desserts or any more coffee. Ya pa que! Just be patient and know more or less what you're going into. Great food that is worth waiting for, okay outdoor environment and service needs improvement.
Love the Empanada Frita con Tinga, and don't forget your champurrado. My husband always orders the huarache and I take his nopal. So it does not come with the quesadilla frita. But the order would definitely be better with it.
Amazing place!!! The food is so good, authentic, and well with the price. Servers are very friendly, and the place is very nice.
